[The journals will be graced by a familiar, soft voice that was quiet for a while.]

I... see that I am back in this place once more. [The voice sounds resigned yet concealed by an otherwise neutral tone. Hinata's really not too happy to be back.] I suppose that the others are still here, then?

[There's a pause as she begins recalling her memories. It takes some time since these memories are still a bit hazy.] Kiba-kun, Shikamaru-kun...? Tenten-san, Sakura-san...

[She trails off because the next name she's going to say is being held back by this lump in her throat.]

... Naruto-kun? Are all of you still here? [Before she waits for a response, Hinata is already on the move.] I- I will be heading back to my apartment. I will see you all, then. Please be well.

[And the voice transmission cuts.]

Nice! That sounds pretty fun, except for the fighting. You must be pretty strong!

[He nods briefly, opens his mouth to say something, then stops. It's not often that Kiba actively considers things before he says them, but this time he does, though he quickly reaches the same conclusion he usually follows in the first place: screw it.]

While you're headin' back here, you should probably know someone else from our world showed up a little while you were gone.

[Because fuck it if he'll let her walk around blind for even an hour while an idiot like him is around; though Kiba doubts he'll do anything, unless the retard wants some kunai personally shoved up his ass. And hell if he'll filter this either. The idiot knows they know he's here. So screw it. Like he's scared of him anyway.]

Remember how I have this list of assholes with really punchable faces? [Like Sasuke.] Well, one of them showed up. The "one-eyed" retard guy.

[The one that's responsible for the Kiba-sized crater in the forest back home. Tobi or Madara or whatever he calls himself—Kiba really doesn't give a damn.]

[Having Asuma-sensei brought back to life is one thing, but having a member of the Akatsuki is another matter entirely. If her shock at realizing one of their dead teachers is here was palpable, this one took the cake.]

You- You mean that member of the--[She pauses, trying to be careful at saying the organization's name.] --Akatsuki?

[Upon mentioning that word, Hinata looks around her surroundings, making sure she's not being followed. Her grip on her journal tightens a bit.]

[Hinata gets a fanboy lol. But seriously, she never viewed herself as someone strong. Years of second guessing herself has taught her that.] O- Oh. Um, I'm really not.

Yeah.

Not that I think he has the balls to stir up shit right now, but just keep an eye out, all right?

[Aang has some trouble believing this - he hasn't dealt so much with people lacking self-confidence, and maybe he's also unconsciously associating her with Toph due to faint physical resemblances.] Really? I guess I can't tell because I've never seen you in action! But if you beat your enemies, then you have to be pretty strong.

[What they have to talk about is important, but not more so than a friend's well being. Shikamaru will greet her with a smile.]

Find all your things?

[Yeah, there's that awkward. Naruto thinks for a moment, trying to figure if he should confront the whole debacle of Valentine's Day now or later.

He goes with later.] So... you need any help or anythin'? [Least he can do.]

[She nods, still surveying the area around her.]

I will. Please don't worry. You take care too, Kiba-kun.

[She only gives a soft smile to that.]

I really just try my best.

Ah, yes, I did. [She gives him a soft smile.] My apartment is also in tact when I found it.

Oh, I'm fine. [She pulls out a lopsided smile, hoping he won't bring that up since she really doesn't know how to handle it. At the back of her mind, she's afraid of what he's going to say.] I will be back in my apartment after a short while.

Then you can't be going wrong.

I- I suppose that's true.

Hope you didn't have trouble getting everything up the stairs.

Got Akamaru guarding my back and a couple of nuts on our floor. Pretty sure I'm set for any possible retard invasion.

That's good! [... There's really not anything else to say. He doesn't want to talk about the shift right now. She just got back, and he hasn't had much time to dwell on the subject with Madara's arrival.] I guess I'll see you around, then.

I'm very glad to hear that, then. I will be there shortly. [A certain, wide smile.] I have missed Akamaru-kun as well.

Oh, I didn't. Kiba-kun helped me, too, so it was not much of a hassle. Thank you for the concern, though.

Um, yes. You will. [The awkwardness is certainly evident even with Hinata's conscious effort to shove it aside. There's this definite pang inside her heart upon realizing that maybe her relationship with Naruto will just remain like this. She absolutely hopes not, though.]

I'll see you around, Naruto-kun. [She opens her mouth as if to say something else, but decided against it as she bites her bottom lip.] Yes... ah, I'll see you. [Like before, from afar.]

Good on him. [And Shikamaru stretches, lacing his fingers behind the back of his head.] I'm surprised Naruto didn't lend you a hand too.

[At the mention of Naruto, Hinata instantly blushes.]

[But she looks away, suddenly finding the floor she's standing on a lot more interesting than before. A poignant glimmer manifests in her eyes which is contradictory to the smile she gives.]

I did not ask him to. [This smile widens.] He doesn't have any obligation to help me, after all.

Guess not. I was just banking on him stopping in for a chat.
